What this website stores on your device, why, how long it lasts, and how to change your mind. Nothing optional is set unless you agree to it first.

1. The short version
This site sets nothing optional unless you agree to it first.
When you arrive, we ask. Until you answer, no analytics and no advertising technology runs at all. You can change your answer whenever you like using the Cookie settings link in the footer at the bottom of every page.
We do not use cookie walls, we do not pre-tick boxes, and rejecting is exactly one click — the same as accepting.
2. What this covers
"Cookies" here is shorthand. The rules that matter — the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, alongside UK GDPR — apply to anything stored on or read from your device, whether that is a cookie, localStorage or sessionStorage. This policy covers all of it, and says which is which so you can see exactly what is happening.

3. Necessary — always on
One item is stored without asking, because it is what remembers your answer. Exempt from consent under PECR: without it we would have to ask you on every single page.

That is the only thing this website stores on your device unless you agree to more. There is no session cookie, no login, and no server-side session — the site is made of static files.
4. Analytics — only if you agree
If you turn analytics on, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages get used and where people give up, so we can improve them, and Microsoft Clarity, which records how a page is used — scrolling, clicks, where people hesitate — so we can see what is confusing. Clarity's default settings mask what you type into forms.

Until you agree, Google's tag is held in a denied state by Google Consent Mode, which means it will not write these cookies or use them for advertising.
5. Advertising — only if you agree
If you turn advertising on, three things happen.
Google Ads conversion measurement switches on. It tells Google whether an advert on Google led to an enquiry or a call, so we can see which adverts pay for themselves.

The Meta pixel loads. It measures whether an advert on Facebook or Instagram led to an enquiry.

Your enquiry is matched to the advert. If you send an enquiry after agreeing to advertising, the email address and phone number you typed are passed in hashed form to Google and Meta so the enquiry can be matched to the advert that brought you here. Nothing is passed if you declined advertising.
We record which advert brought you here. If you arrive from an advert or a campaign link, the click identifier in the web address is kept for the rest of your browsing session and sent with your quote, so we know which advert is working.

If you decline advertising, none of this is stored, and if you withdraw it later we delete what was held and reload the page so the pixel stops immediately. You still get your quote either way — the price does not depend on any of this.
6. What we do not do
To be specific, because the previous version of this policy said otherwise:
- There are no social media embeds on this site. Nothing is loaded from
Facebook, Instagram or TikTok unless you have agreed to advertising, and even then only the measurement pixel.
- There is no comment system, no user accounts, and no Gravatar.
- We do not sell your data, and we do not use these cookies to build a
profile of you across other websites beyond the advertising measurement described above.
7. Changing your mind
Use the Cookie settings link in the footer of any page. It reopens the same choice with your current settings shown, and takes effect immediately.
You can also clear or block storage in your browser directly. Every browser has this in its settings, usually under Privacy. If you clear everything, we will ask you again on your next visit, because the record of your choice will have gone with it.
Blocking the necessary item above will not break the site — it just means we ask you again each time.

If you are not happy with how we have handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK supervisory authority, at ico.org.uk. We would rather you came to us first so we can put it right.

No. There is no embedded social media content anywhere on this site. If you agree to advertising, a Meta measurement pixel loads and nothing else.
